Supporting the Pike County Humane Society for 7 Years

Combined Energy Services support several organizations throughout the Tri-State area that care for and protect animals. This year we are thankful to be able to increase our heating oil donation to the Pike County Humane Society to $5,000.

“It’s important to give back to the community and help those who can’t help themselves,” commented Mike Taylor, manager of CES, “Especially in these difficult times.” Pictured with the honorary check is Chris Roberts, Board Member Stacy O’Connell & Marla Donald, and PCHS Executive Director Christine Cahill along with adoptable Tyrone. Tyrone is 1-year-old, neutered and up to date on vaccinations. He’s a real love bug who needs all the attention he can get. Good with cats but must be the only dog because he doesn’t share hugs.

PCHS prevents cruelty to animals by educating people in the humane treatment of all animals. They also teach about the responsibility of pet ownership.

In addition, PCHS provides shelter, food, care and medical treatment lost, abandoned, abused and unwanted animals that come under their care.

There are many ways you can give to the Pike County Humane Society. Like many non-profit organizations, the Pike County Humane Society struggles to get donations during these difficult times. The shelter could use:

  • Purina One Dry and Canned Dog Food
  • Purina One Dry Cat Food
  • Fancy Feast Canned Kitten Food
  • Friskies Pate Canned Cat Food

They can always use gently used, clean towels, sheets, blankets (nothing with stuffing), paper towel, toilet paper, unscented laundry detergent, unscented dryer sheets, original blue Dawn dish detergent for bathing, dog and cat beds, toys, treats including stuffing for Kongs (peanut butter, frozen vegetables, cream cheese, low-fat plain Greek yogurt, shredded carrots, low sodium chicken/beef broth), and of course monetary donations are appreciated!

You can also donate a special skill! They have tons of ongoing projects and programs that can use volunteers. When you go shopping pick up supplies from their wish list or when using Amazon Smile, select the Pike County Humane Society as your chosen charity.

Please consider a donation to make that a reality. Check out their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/PCHumane for updates and events.
