Outside Sales Representative: W. Nyack, NY
Compressed Gases / Welding Supply / Liquid Chlorine
(Rockland, Westchester, Passaic, Bergen Counties)
The Hudson Valley’s leading family owned gases & welding supply company is seeking an Outside Sales Professional for our newest location in the West Nyack, NY region to increase territory profitability, through sales, to existing customers and acquisition and growth of new accounts.
Our target customers are any businesses that use gases such as oxygen, acetylene, nitrogen, CO2, nitrous oxide, argon/CO2, helium, specialty blended gases, propane along with welding / cutting supplies, consumable products, safety products & bulk propane for temporary construction heating in the cold weather.
In addition, we supply liquid chlorine for commercial swimming pools which we deliver via tank truck to large containers at customer’s sites. Camps, hotels, apartment complexes, water parks, colleges, health clubs are our main customers.
As an Outside Sales Professional will be responsible for:
- Identify new sales prospects and opportunities while maintaining relationships with existing customers
- Develop rentals and sales of welding equipment by following sales leads, cold-calling, making presentations, preparing quotations, maintaining all required literature and providing customer follow-ups.
- Develop customer relationships with all appropriate people and departments.
- Attend product training classes, seminars & trade shows with team
- Work with branch stores to give the best possible service possible
Preferred experience working in an industrial or manufacturing environment
Must have demonstrated ability to sell effectively with measurable results
Sales experience in either industrial equipment rental or a welding equipment sales or rental environment (ideally construction, fabrication, and/or manufacturing sectors) a plus.
Strong Customer Orientation: Must be down-to-earth, able to communicate with customers on-site, via email, etc.

- Full-Time
- $60,000 – $75,000 based on experience
