Combined Energy Services – a family owned & operated propane gas, & service provider since 1968 is growing – seeks full time sales person to help us grow and take care of our customer base. 

An HVAC Salesperson generates leads, conducts on-site or virtual assessments, designs customized heating and cooling systems, and closes sales for residential or commercial projects. They build client relationships, provide quotes/proposals, and often work directly with installation teams to ensure accurate, profitable, and high-quality system replacements. 

Key Responsibilities

• Customer Consultation: Meeting with clients to assess needs, inspect properties, and recommend proper equipment.
• Sales & Lead Generation: Prospecting new clients, conducting site visits, and selling HVAC products/services to meet company goals.
• Proposals & Quoting: Preparing detailed, accurate proposals, contracts, and job estimates.
• Relationship Management: Building lasting relationships with residential homeowners or commercial contractors.
• Technical Knowledge: Staying updated on industry trends, energy efficiency standards, and product lines.  Work with manufacturers and supply houses for assistance on design & information updates.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience in HVAC sales or industry-related technical roles a plus
• Communication: Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
• Licensure: Valid driver’s license for traveling to customer sites.

Working Conditions

• Hours: Often includes evenings and weekends to accommodate homeowners.
• Environment: Frequent travel, including walking through residential, commercial, and sometimes unfinished spaces (attics, basements).

Combined Energy Services – the regions #1 fuel company is looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk in our Monticello office.

Responsibilities:

• Entering payments into the appropriate batches depending on company.
• Ensuring the batch totals match and posting the payment batches.
• Scanning check deposits through a remote check reader.
• Processing credit cards.
• Doing pre authorizations for daily/weekly delivery tickets.
  •  Estimating upcoming delivery totals based on customer usage.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Strong attention to detail and strong mathematical skills required.

Work with a team of seasoned sales pros, no high-pressure sales, handle customer inquiries, builders, contractors to make the propane side of their projects & lives go easier. Most of the time it’s working on the road juggling appointments, visiting sites, checking on leads, giving quotes & coordinating with our installation dept for smooth propane installations.

Ideal candidate should have great communication skills, be personable, attentive to details, have some mechanical ability, presentable in personal appearance, able to work alone without direct supervision and have that drive to make sure customers are satisfied from start to finish. Drug free only, valid driver’s license required.

We provide company truck, work with seasoned sales pros for training.

Requirements:

We have openings for propane installation trainees. Work along side experienced techs installing new propane services for homes & businesses. Skills include – installing tanks via boom truck, trenching with mini-excavator & tracked walk-behind trencher, installing buried & aboveground gas piping, burying propane tanks with excavator, connecting & leak checking piping systems. We train for the job – you bring the positive, can-do attitude!

Experience working with your hands a huge plus. If you have excavation experience – even better! We’ll also train to get your CDL at no cost!

Work with our seasoned sales team developing sales leads including new construction leads from our drivers and techs in the field, local contractors, newspaper articles, local municipal offices. Job entails gathering info on potential new customers that are under development / construction, researching on-line where necessary for proper contact information, forward all to the sales dept. No direct sales or customer contact required. Local travel required to help gather information from local building departments and municipal agencies in company provided car. 

Must have strong internet navigational “investigative skills”, be very organized, attentive to details.  Able to manage your own schedule of when to get info from what municipality regularly. Valid NYS driver’s license required.  Knowledge of Excel a plus.

Looking for a highly motivated and organized Customer Service Representative to specialize in posting service invoices at our Monticello, NY location. This includes taking service work orders and entering information into the computer system to correctly bill customers, research customer/billing issues and complaints, answer phone calls, etc….

Duties:

• Read, interpret and understand work orders for billing
• Perform data entry tasks to update customer records
• Research/gather missing info to complete work orders
• Handle incoming customer inquiries via phone and email
• Resolve customer complaints in a professional manner

Requirements:

• Excellent data entry skills/attention to detail
• Ability to learn software designed for fuel industry
• Previous experience in fuel industry or fuel parts/inventory experience preferred
• Have great communication and customer service skills
